"Well of the Willows"

The 𝘢𝘪𝘳 wafting from the Well was ancient; candle smoke and crisp leaves, fresh and fallen petals, the powdered flutter of a butterfly's wing, and spirits, somewhere. 🦋

Sweet, and sacred. 💐

There were hundreds of candles in the Well, perhaps thousands. Each one, left by another young witch, in the many, 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 years before this night.

There was one unlit candle, waiting for her across the lily pond, next to a freshly fallen branch ... 🕯️
