There were hundreds of candles in the 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙡, perhaps thousands. Each one, left by another young witch, in the many, 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 years before this night.
There was one unlit candle, waiting for her across the lily pond, next to a freshly fallen branch ... 🕯️
